  • The Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS) are managed by CableLabs on behalf of its cable television system operator members. The project was begun by an organization called Multimedia Cable Network System (MCNS) Partners, L. P., which consists of Comcast Cable Communications, Cox Communications, Tele-Communications, Inc., and Time Warner Cable. In addition to MCNS, Rogers Cablesystems Limited, MediaOne, and CableLabs have all contributed to the DOCSIS documents as have numerous cable industry, computer and networking vendors.

    The European Radio Communications Office (ERO) is one of three committees that form the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), the regional regulatory telecommunication organization for Europe. Currently 43 European countries are members of the CEPT. The ERC develops policy on radio communications issues including; the coordination of frequency, administrative and technical matters relating to the regulation of radio in Europe. ERC also prepares the European proposals and positions for conferences ITU.
