LIDO is pleased to offer supplemental instructor materials to professors, instructors and teachers associated with educational institutions and using Telecommunications Essentials as the textbook for their courses.

The author, Lili Goleniewski, offers her complete library of powerpoint and animated flash slides for use in the classroom, providing professional classroom presentation materials to complement the instructor’s lecture.
These slides comprise Lili’s private library of presentations, used in LIDO seminars and the elearning series. There are approximately 1800 slides in the LIDO Telecommunications Essentials seminar series, and of course, there are many more diagrams than provided in the book.
Quizzes
The author has developed a comprehensive quiz for each chapter of the book. The questions are comprised of Multiple Choice, True/False, Fill in the Blank, and Matching formats. The quizzes can be taken online, where they are interactive in nature, or provided as a file to the instructor to administer in class.
Reference Links
The author provides a select list of web resources related to each chapter of the book. These websites, hand-picked by Lili Goleniewski, serve to support additional research on topic matters covered in a particular chapters, as well as providing a source for ongoing learning long after the course is over. At this time there are approximately 1,500 links covering all the book chapters..
Recommended Reading Resources
Lili has assembled a comprehensive list of online reading resources, including magazines, journals, market research sources, forums, and industry standards bodies. The selected websites constitute Lili’s personal choices for staying up to date on the fast moving telecom and IT industry.
LIDO Telecommunications Essentials Learning Center
The Learning Center is designed to be a one-stop reference source for all matters to do with telecommunications and information technologies, and featuring the author’s top picks for timely and quality content. There are literally thousands of telecom related websites, which while offering a plethora of resources, also makes it difficult to find information. Having a hand-picked group of the cream of the crop will serve to greatly reduce your searching time, and increase your learning time. A variety of formats are provided, including blogs, newsfeeds, podcasts, and white papers.
Along with the Quizzes, Reference Links, and Reading Resources, the online Learning Center features the Telecom Essentials blog, led by the author, Lili Goleniewski. This blog serves as a public meeting place for students and practitioners of telecom worldwide, a forum for the exchange of questions, answers and ideas – and the pursuit of telecom knowledge
The Learning Center also provides newsfeeds from some of Lili’s favorite sources for the latest and greatest in ICT, covering the best in applications, R&D, future visions, industry activities, and technology developments in the wireline and wireless realms.
Podcasts are a new resource in the Learning Center, featuring industry notables addressing a wide variety of topics of interest to today’s telecom professionals. In addition, Lili will be using podcasts to provide updates, as needed, to the myriad of topics covered in the Telecommunications Essentials book, seminars, and elearning series.
